Janne Nevalainen( born 1967 ), in his youth a comic magazine publsiher, comics novel writer, later computer systems specialist,  resides in Helsinki, Finland with his family. He has made electronic music since 1988 with varying technology, mostly with old Korg and Yamaha synths and organs. "My favorite synth is Korg Lambda from 1977. It is still comparatible with modern synths I have. I am traditionalist with music technology, even I use pc:s and unix-workstations for recording and editing.

"Since I have traditional 'rock band' background ( Cellar Drive, Ragablaster, Cozhe etc.) I use a lot of 'rock gear' for sounds I create for electronica. As multi-instrumentalist I can swich between keyboards, traditional piano, from quitar to electric bass, and also create some drumming with drum machines or with standard jazz/rock drum kit".

But thats all I ever vant to write about the technology behind my music. More important is WHY a mature family man wants to make somewhat strange sounding elecronic music about space travelling or about androids....cliche or just childish´? Yes, maybe.

"This spce-influenced music is 'continuation' of my childhood dream - to become jet pilot and  astronaut.  Now I have given up about that dream, but luckily my parents put me to the music school where I learned to play piano.  Later my imagination gave me the 'wings' and 'rockets' that I can now use to my space travelling"

I believe that most of the listeners of my music would say 'this sounds like....." ( what ever they would recognice as electronic music ). Ofcource is should remind something since I really have not created or invented anything totally different than average 'electornica' BUT I personally I believe that my music has ' a touch of its own' 

Here´s some names that I have heard: "Jean-Michel Jarre, Kraftwerk, etc." .I must admit that I am familiar with their music ( except the Devlin Thownsend ) I have some rare electronic music from Poland, that has made me as deep experience than the well-known western artists.
